    understand that not every feline
    will tolerate being groomed.
Grooming
My name is Nancy Oberg, and I have been grooming here at
the Lodge since the summer of 2006.  I grew up in Durand,
graduated with a B.S. in Zoologly from MSU, and than decided
to go back to school to become a pet groomer!
I graduated from the Michigan School of Canine Cosmetology
in 2005, and was asked to stay and groom there after
graduating.  I married my husband, Steve, in 2003, currently
only have 4 legged children! When my husband and I moved to
Laingsburg, I discovered The Animal Lodge!  Theresa was
looking for a groomer, and I was looking for someplace closer to
our new home.  The rest is history!
It's amazing how many clients we have built up in the past year
and a half, especially being a new kennel!  I continue my
education all the time, attending grooming conferences and
seminars whenever possible.  I have done more extensive
hands on training at Paragon Grooming School, in Grand
Rapids, MI.  Those classes were focused on particular breeds,
learning more specifics about their haircuts.  I have started
studying to become a Certified Master Groomer.  This will be a
challenge, but I think the educational benefits are well worth the
time and money it will take to achieve this.

What Does "just a bath" Include?

  • Your pooch enjoys a bath,
    15 minute soak in our Hot
    Oil, and a blow dry.
  • The Hot Oil helps to loosen
    all of the dead undercoat so
    it  can be removed by the
    blow dryer and a variety of
    different grooming tools.
  • The Hot Oil also leaves the
    hair extremely soft and silky
  • Our clients currently in the
    program say it cuts down on
    shedding 60-80%!!
  • The Hot Oil is an extra $10,
    and can be added to any
    groom or bath price!
  • In our Shed Less Program, if
    your dog returns for it's
    treatment within 8 weeks of
    it's previous appointment,
